There is an entry for Highclere [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SU4458/highclere/] [accessed 22 August 2018]; it reports "1 church. 1.0 church lands" in it. The entry for the parish church at Highclere [Source ID: 1339760] notes that it is a 1870 building by George Gilbert Scott [...] to replace the earlier church of 1692, itself on the medieval site next to Highclere Castle; there is no mention of a font in it, but it is presumably also late-19th century. [NB: we have no information on the font of the Domesday-time church here].
