There is a large stone basin in the present grounds of the abbey; whether or not it was ever a baptismal vessel is open to conjecture; it is roughly hemispherical and has had a reinforcement metal cinch wrapped around the upper basin sides at some point. It is however unlikely that this would have been the baptismal font of the original Cistercian abbey church here. [NB: we have no information on the font of the 12th-century monastery church here].
