There is a large stone basin that appears to have been originally from a baptismal font but is now [May 2018] used as a water-trough in the churchyard; it is octagonal both inside and out, and has a reinforcement metal cinch around the upper rim; the sides are plain and taper at the underbowl; it rests directly on the ground, but if a font, it would have been raised on a base of some sort. We have no confirmation on where this object came from, nor on whether or not it was ever used as a font. [NB: cf. Index entry for Horsne No. 2 for an interesting 18th-century wooden font in this church]. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original 12th-13th century church here].
