The ruins of the church of St. Olof are now surrounded by DBW Botaniska Trädgården of Visby; a few yards from the ruins, exposed to the elements, stands a stone baptismal font slowly crumbling and being eaten away by lichen and moss; the square basin, its sides decorated with semi-circles and with a band of fleurs-de-lis around the underbowl, appears to be original; a roll moulding decorates the lower end where the basin meets the cylindrical stem; the lower base is square and, like the stem, is plain and probably a modern replacement. [NB: we were not able able to confirm that this font belonged originally to St. Olof's].
