Baptismal font of bronze of the 13th century noted by József Könyöki in 1871, and by Myskovszky; the source, 'Várak és erődített helyek a Kárpát-medencében' in Magyar Várarchívum Alapítvány [www.varak.hu/latnivalo/index/2053-Liptotepla-templom/] [accessed 5 June 2018] reports the font in a museum in Budapest. The font consists of a quasi-cylindrical vat-shaped basin decorated with an inscription and a band of foliage motifs all around; it has two handle-like protrusions at opposite sides of the upper rim [these were probably meant to secure the original cover to]; raised on a round splaying pedestal base with equal decoration; the museum label identifies the inscription as an expanded version of Mark 16:15-16 [KJV: "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned"]. No cover present.
