There are entries for this Minster [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TR3164/minster/] [accessed 11 May 2018]; the part in the lordship of Canterbury St. Augustine's in 1066 reports a priest and a church in it; the other part, in the lordship of Canterbury Christ Church in 1066, reports two churches in it. Kent Archaeology [https://www.kentarchaeology.org.uk/01/03/MIT.htm] [accessed 14 February 2023] reports the main font here: "The font was brought from Holy Cross, Canterbury, in 1974 (and font cover)." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TR3109164255] notes: "Parish church. Tower and nave C11 and C12, chancel and transepts C13. Refenestration in partC15. Restored 1863 [...] Font and cover: C15, octagonal on moulded base. Cover, restored, with open work panels, pinnacled,displaying shields, with scrolled iron pulley bracket, one chain attached to the cover by a gadrooned globe finial." The font in use consists of an octagonal sides with graded tapering sides, a short octagonal stem and a moulded lower base; stands on a wider octagonal plinth. There is a modern cover on the font, octagonal, flat and plain; modern. Diused now, and in a corner near the font is an older wooden font cover shaped like an octagonal building, with pinnacled towers, traceried windows, etc., and a rather unmatched ball finial [cf.
