Credit and Acknowledgements: We are grateful to Juan Antonio Olañeta for bringing this font to our attention and for his photographs of the object
Church Notes: original Romaneque church, much modified through the ages
Basin of a baptismal font now disused [cf. infra]; it is roughly bucket-shaped and shows much damaged, eroded and invaded by weeds; it is resting on some stones now, so, perjaps its base or plinth is still in the medieval church. In an e-mail communication to BSI Juan Antonio Olañeta reports this disused font being now [April 2018] outside the church, in the garden of a nearby house, being used as a planter: " en el jardín de una casa junto a la iglesia de Sant Esteve de Tuixent (Lleida), reutilizada de macetero".
