Scene Description: the object on the left [north] side of the west entranceway appears to be the base of an old font, and has a drain hole atop, in the centre; the shape does not appear to match the wall-mounted font, this one appearing to be of an earlier design and probably and earlier date as well

There were two font-related objects in this church: 1)an object wall-mounted outside the church; it consists of a hemispherical or cauldron-shaped stone basin decorated with a roll moulding at the upper rim and a pattern of convex ribs on the side and underbowl; a base of stone as well and some decoration on the sides. It appears to have been half-built into an external wall at a low height, probably to be used as holy-water stoup. The general shape and decoration appears to be of the 15th-16th century at the earliest; it is covered in moss and lichens. No cover present. 2)the second object appears to be the base of an old font, and has a drain hole atop, in the centre; the shape does not appear to match the wall-mounted font, this one appearing to be of an earlier design and probably and earlier date as well.
