Baptismal font noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del Románico en Galicia (Pontevedra, vol. The font is made of reddish granite; it consists of a large roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a row of ball motif around the lower side, and with a roll moulding at the bottom of the underbowl; it is raised on a squat cylindrical base decorated with two parallel bands of saw-tooth; the upper side of the basin has a nothc-like space cut out for the obvious purpose of placing the font lock there, but it is now empty and there is no cover evident. [NB: there is a vessel resembling a small font or a large stoup in the churchyard at Noceda; it consists of a roughly cylindrical basin raised on a round pedestal base and an octagonal lower base; its outer surface is much eroded and covered in lichens, but have had some carving on at least one of the sides; the basin has no drain hole].
