Church Notes: church documented 1136 ("ecclesiam Sancti Iacobi de Allariz ");
Baptismal font of granite, consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a short cylindrical base; the upper sides of the basin are decorated with a band of stylised palmette with little square separators between the motifs, while lower down the side and underbowl runs a diagonal ribbed pattern capped with round arch-heads; the short stem, which is separate block, is decorated with a roll moulding at the upper end, and large four-petal rosettes all around. The present wooden cover is plain, flat and round; modern.
