A baptismal font in Nordhausen St, Blasii is mentioned in Benjamin Gottfried Weinart's 'Versuch einer Litteratur der Sächsischen Geschichte und Staatskunde [...]' (Dresden und Leipzig, 1790), p. 735. The wooden baptismal font in this church was donated by Ottilie Ernst, and made by Lorentz Fronhausen, a local woodcarver and carpenter.
