The 8 May 2014 edition of Volksstimme [https://www.volksstimme.de] [accessed 14 October 2022] includes an article by Arlette Krickau on an old font that had been placed in the front yard of the Bahn family house; by a stroke of luck the base of the old font had also been found and identified, supporting a water pump in the village; the two were brought together and located outside the church as a memorial. The old baptismal font of Kleinleitzkau was reported 21 June 2014 as being installed in the centre of the village in an article by Petra Wiese [https://www.volksstimme.de/nachrichten/lokal/zerbst/1291374_Ein-wuerdiger-Platz-fuer-den-Taufstein.html] [accessed 26 April 2018]: "Der Taufstein hatte, ohne sich dessen Bedeutung bewusst zu sein, zuletzt als Blumenkübel bei der Familie Bahn im Vorgarten gedient. Und wie es der Zufall wollte, fand sich auch der originale Sockel dazu im Dorf wieder an. Das Ganze konnte mit Hilfe eines Steinmetzes wieder zusammengestellt und aufgearbeitet werden. Ein Untergrund wurde gepflastert.800 Jahre sind seit der Ersterwähnung Kleinleitzkaus vergangen. Auf den Tag genau fand ein Festgottesdienst statt und der wieder aufgefundene Taufstein konnte enthüllt werden." Part of the font had been used as a garden container in the Bahn family garden, but was installed outside the church in June 2014. The entry for this church in the Evangelischer Kirchenkreis Zerbst site [www.kirchenkreis-zerbst.de/kleinleitzkau] [accessed 27 April 2018] informs that the former Gothic font of the old church of Kleinleitzkau is now located in the front yard of the neighboring former schoolhouse. The Mirko Seidel's Architektur-Blicklicht site [www.architektur-blicklicht.de/kirchen/kleinleitzkau-kirche/] [accessed 27 April 2018] mentions a font inside the church, presumably one introduced with the new church in the 1880s. A font in Kleinleitzkau is mentioned without details in Matthias Friske (Berlin: Lukas Verlag, 2007: 179).
