Noted in Garbinski's Taufbecken (Fünten) aus Metallguss (Bronze, Messing, Blei, Zinn) [www.grabinski-online.de/glocken/Fuenten.html] [accessed 22 April 2018] as a font of the mid-1300s. The baptismal font is made of bronze is has an upside down-bell shape; a running inscription on two lines above the upper rim is interspeded with symbols [NB: we have no inscription details at present]; around the centre are several fancy cross-shaped symbols one of which appears to have and inscription [NB: we have no inscription details at present]; the lower end has an incised vine between two mouldings; it is raised on three stylised legs with claw ends. There is no font cover present.
