The present baptismal font is modern, a bronze work made by Ursula Wallner-Querner in 1967; it is a tall toughly cylindrical basin raised on three animal legs; on the sides of the basin is the crossing of the Red Sea. [NB: we have no information on the font of the 9th-10th century monastery church here]
