Baptismal font of bronze dated by an inscription to 1430, and to its makers, Ludolf von Braunschweig and his son Heinrich, of Magdeburg; the roughly bucket-shaped basin is decvorated with an arcade of fourteen arches that house statues of Christ, Mary and twelve Apostles, these carrying their identifying symbols; around the lower basin side is an inscription in German [cf. supra]; the base consists of four standing figures: a bearded man, a clean-face young man and two female figures wearing crowns; the feet are attached to a ring that serves a lower base. This source suggests the font may have been from one of the two earlier churches in Halle [cf. ChurchNotes].
