Font Notes:
Baptismal font in bronze by Nikolaus Szczecin, 1392. Basin in the usual upturned-bell shape has two human busts with side animal heads at opposite end of the rim, used in the past to anchor a now missing cover; row of pointed arch-heads -no supports- all around housing Apostles, saints, clerics, some of them holding their symbols; the arch-heads are pinnacled and crocketed, and the orresponding spandrels are pinnacled; all around the lower basin sides is a running inscription identifying the maker, Nikolaus von Stettin and the year, 1292; raised on four human figures facing outwards, each leaning on a monster, also facing out, and standing above a couchant lion. No cover present but there is a metal insert to support the baptismal dish used to hold the water for baptism.
