Noted and illustrated in Kiesow (2010). Bronze baptismal font of bronze made in the workshop of Claudius Voillo and Gottfried Baulard in 1646. The basin is round, shaped like a wider end of an upturned bell; below a decorated upper rim are two bands on Latin inscription; below those two lines is an arcade of round arches all around; the foliated arch-heads are supported of slender stylised columns; in the arches are the figures of the Apostles caeeying their identifying symbols, and further identified by their name inscribed below; the date 1646 is inscribed inside a number of the spandrels of the arcade; the lower basin side has a band of decoration with vines, mythical creatures and cherub heads; there is an additional band of inscription on the narrow underbowl; the basin is supported on four legs fashioned out of hollow-out figures of the four Evangelists facing outwards. The wooden font cover was made by Hinrich Julfs, of Wittmund, in 1665, as the painted incised inscription on the lower sides of the font attest.
