Cuve de section octogonale, d'élévation oblique, avec décor en relief. Couvercle en bois avec groupe sculpté [...] Décor : Baptême du Christ, motifs végétaux [...] Inscription relative aux édiles : Bourgmeister, Pfarrer, Schultheis [...] 1671 [...] Restauré." [NB: we have no information on whether the late-12th century Chapelle Sainte-Marguerite, listed in Mérimée [ref.: PA00084711] and located also in Fessenheim-le-Bas, had baptismal rights and a font or not].
