Limestone holy-water stoup listed in Palissy [ref.: PM16000575] as a former capital from the chancel of the abbey church, later re-cycled as stoup, decorated with "larges corbeilles sculptées de grands rinceaux, se recourbant aux angles"; the object is quadrangular at the top and rounded at the bottom, its foliage decoration deeply carved; it stands on a plain rounded base; the top of the basin appears to have a wooden cover, which is unusual in the case of stoups; the reason for a cover on it is probably because the stoup is now [2014] used as baptismal font.
