Church Notes: 12thC church listed in Mérimée [ref.: PA00104355]: "La cure de Saint-Cybard est mentionnée dès 775, date à laquelle elle dépend de l'abbaye de Saint-Cybard [...] L'édifice, construit au 12e siècle, a été agrandi au 15e siècle par les bas-côtés nord et sud dédiés à la Vierge et à saint Jean-Baptiste. L'édifice a été restauré en 1875-1876."
Font Notes:
Michel Claveyrolas writes: "Dans la chapelle gothique sud, par laquelle on accède à la nef, se trouvent des fonts baptismaux. Il s'agit d'une simple cuve, à peine décorée de stries verticales. Nous n'avons pas trouvé de documents concernant ces fonts et nous les signalons à tout hasard en raison de leur aspect archaïque." The beaker-shaped font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with flat ribbing all around; raised on a squat round moulded base; the font is probably late medieval. No cover present.
