Church Notes: church here documented 973, 110, 1182, etc., listed in Mérimée [ref.: PA16000004]: "Eglise mentionnée dès le 10e siècle (973), construite à la fin du 11e siècle (choeur) et au 12e siècle (façade). Les murs latéraux de la nef et ceux de l'abside remontent peut-être au 11e siècle [...] Lors de travaux exécutés entre 1990 et 1993 (dont l'installation de vitraux contemporains), des peintures murales médiévales ont été mises au jour."
The report of the committee of the ISMH which advised favourably for this church to be listed in its inventory [November 1995?] [http://www.culture.gouv.fr/Wave/image/merimee/PROT/PA16000004_DOC.pdf] [accessed 8 December 2017] reads in part: "Il convient de signaler deux fonts baptismaux romans, l'un entier et l'autre réduit dans sa hauteur; ce sont des cuves rectangulaires aux angles abattus". Michel Claveyrolas notes: "On peut voir deux fonts baptismaux à l'entrée. Celui du nord est carré avec deux angles abattus sur le devant. Il est orné de croix de Malte inscrites dans des cercles et gravées sur les faces visibles. Il semble que la cuve ait été plus haute à l'origine et qu'on l'ait diminuée." [NB: can Michel clarify why only the altered font is seen in his images? -- contacted MC 19 Dec 2017: he will try to get photos of the other in 2018]
