Baptismal font of stone, consisting of an octagonal basin with plain sides and a tall chamfered underbowl, its sides also plain; there is a flat rim with a double moulding on its chamfered side, but much of it is damaged or broken off; the basin is raised on a splaying octagonal base; both parts of the font are irregular, apparently the work of a local stonemason; there is a wooden modern font cover on it, flat and plain. If one should not assign an early date on account of crude workmanship, this font could well be of a later period than the original church [early-12th century]. There is an object of stone used as planter just outside the west doorway, on the south side; could this be a re-cycled font basin?
