The present wooden font is modern, thought to have been made on the model of the font of the disappeared church at Gåra, nearby, and others of a group of such post-Reformation fonts in this area (Atrå, Bø, Gåra, etc.) The modern, mid-19th century font at Heddal appears monolithic, cut from a tree trunk, with a concave ribbing pattern narrowed and gathered at the centre-ring position with a moulding. Wooden cover with prysmatic surface and tall turned finial. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original church at Heddal].
