Noted and illustrated in Åsa Ringbom [www.kyrkor.ax/kyrkor/saltviks-kyrka/] [accessed 6 September 2017] as a baptismal font of the mid-13th century made from "Hoburgmarmor" and imported from Gotland; the font consists of a basin of quatrefoiled shape inside and out, raised on a pedestal base and a lower base of the shame shape. There is damage to the sides of the basin. A metal bowl ["Dopskål"] is now used to hold the water for baptisms, somewaht similar to the one listed and illustrated in the Kalmar Läns Museum, Kalmar läns museums fotoarkiv [ref.: KLMF.Gärdslösa99Mc]. No cover present.
