The present the font in this church is relatively late given the origins of the church in Bocholt, ca. 1600 according to local sources; it consists of a hexagonal basin with a rounded underbowl, raised on a hexagonal pedestal base decorated with piping at the angles, and a moulded lower base, also hexagonal. A wooden frame is fitted on the top of the basin to support a font cover; it has two holes to give access to the metal staples in the upper rim of the basin. [NB: we have no information on the fonts(s) of the earlier church(es) here]. [NB: the Katholische Pfarrkirche Liebfrauen is modern, of the late 18th century, re-built in 1960s-1970s after being burned down in WWII].
