Wooden font noted and illustrated by Pentti Zetterberg, in the Laboratory of Dendrochronology, University of Joensuu [http://forest.uef.fi/penttizetterberg/kohteet.esineet.html] [accessed 31 August 2017]: "Ahlaisten (Pori) kirkon puisen kastealtaan jalustan iänmääritys, dendrokronologinen ajoitus FIT8201. Joensuun yliopisto, Karjalan tutkimuslaitos, Ekologian osasto, Dendrokronologian laboratorio, ajoitusseloste 257:1-6" [NB: no dating for the font given in the source]. The font is one of a few monolithic wooden 'stands' to be used in conjubction with a removable basin; the basin appears dodecagonal, though almost round, with the sides cerved as plain mini-panels, the lower part tapering in with twelve (?) ribs all the way down to a thick centre ring moulding carved in a simple 2-strand braid pattern; the base is practically a mirror image of the basin.
