The entry for this church in Tynell (1913-1921) reports no medieval font found in this church; mentions that the 1830 inventory records a wooden font here. Noted and illustrated in Rydbeck (1936) as the damaged basin of a medieval baptismal font, which she includes in her chapter on the Mårten workshop. The basin of a medieval sandstone font from this church, considered part of the Mårtensgruppen, is listed and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 940920F5] with date in the late-12th century; location is given as the Lunds universitets historiska museum [History Museum of the Universty of Lund] (inv.nr. 24358). The badly damaged and eroded basin shows a band of large palmettes all around, with motifs in the spandrels, a decoration design which has probably helped in its attribution to Mårten's atelier and group. According to the entry for this church in Kyrkoguiden.se [www.kyrkoguiden.se/skane_201_text.html] [accessed 26 August 2017] there is a wooden font probably of the late 17th century in use now in this church; the old font is said to have been sold in the 19th century, when it found use as garden planter nearby; it was later acquired by the University of Lund, in which museum it now resides.
