Scene Description: shopwing the medieval (?) stoup near the doorway -- the odd-looking object raised on a column at the back appears to be part of an old pulpit

The baptismal font in this church is located in the northwest corner of the nave, beneath the stairs leading to the gallery; it consists of a crudely-made round basin, between hemispherical and cylindrical, that is badly eroded in its surfaces; raised on a round-to-square pedestal base that may be of later date, and a round plinth half built into the ground, that may be original. There is a modern font cover on the font, round, flat and plain. In the opposite side of the nave, just south of the entranceway, is a granite holy-water stoup that could also be medieval; it consists of a cylindrical basin decorated with a broad band of diagonal ribbing [usually a Gothic pattern], and is raised on a plain round-to-square pedestal base, also of granite.
