Baptismal font probably of the 13th century listed and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: PM60001254]: "Les fonts en pierre sculptée se composent d'une grande cuve tronconique placée sur une base carrée et couronnée d'une bordure moulurée en partie supérieure. La cuve est flanquée de quatre colonnettes complètement engagées dans la masse. Les colonnettes sont posées sur des bases octogonales. Deux colonnettes sont circulaires et deux ont un fût octogonal [...] Les colonnettes sont couronnées de chapiteaux à feuilles pointues peu saillantes ou de figure humaine. Les chapiteaux portent trois figures, deux sont couchées et entourent une tête placée au centre verticalement [...] mauvais état [...] La cuve fendue a été réparée [...] siècle 13e siècle (?)". Noted and illustrated in Eglises de l'Oise [www.eglisesdeloise.com/monument/ourcel-maison-eglise-saint-nicolas/] [accessed 26 June 2017]: "Cuve baptismale époque gothique [...] très intéressante cuve baptismale de la fin du 12ème siècle avec colonnettes d’angle dont deux sont sommées de petits chapiteaux décorés de têtes humaines (2005)." The font is of the type common in this area, a square frame seeming to enclose a hemispherical basin; in this case the angle columns are clustered with the basin. The wooden cover frame is square, flat and plain, and appears modern.
