A baptismal font and a holy-water stoup are mentioned in the SIPA entry [IPA.00002190] with suggested date in the 16th century in this former monastery church [www.monumentos.pt/Site/APP_PagesUser/SIPA.aspx?id=2190] [accessed 11 June 2017]: "A pia de água benta junto ao portal axial, de pé, e a pia baptismal deverão datar do séc. 16 [...] The font itself, carved in granite, consists of a roughly cylindrical basin with sides decorated with a series of triangular divisions framed between a flat moulding at the top and a rope moulding below; the inside of the basin has a vertical partition but it appears to be a later addition cemented to the inner sides and bottom; the triangular partitions continue on the underbowl; raised on a round pedestal base that has pairs of leg-like motifs at the bottom. No font cover present.
