[NB: we have no information on the baptismal font of the 12th-century church here]. Michel Aubrun writes of a chapel called "Sainte-Madeleine de Vitrac, paroisse de Chamboulive", which was made into parochial by bishop Geraldus in 1140: "Ego (Geraldus episcopus) [...] de capella in ecclesiam transmuto" [source: Fascicle XXI (Clermont-Ferrand: Institut d'Etudes du Massif Central, 1981: 369)] [NB: this "Vitrac" is Vitrac-de-Montane, like Chamboulive, is a location in the arrondissement de Tulle].
