The 'sommaire objets mobiliers' for the Chapelle Saint-Jacques in the location Freyte, near Saint-Sulpice-de-Bois [Palissy ref.: IM19001335] [www.culture.gouv.fr/documentation/memoire/HTML/IVR74/IM19001335/index.htm] [accessed 11 April 2017] done in 1985 (?) notes two objects of our interest in it: a baptismal font and a holy-water stoup, the latter reported as a "chapiteau benitier", probably inferring that it is a former capital re-cycled as stoup; their location on the plan of the church interior provided the Palissy entry is: the stoup is located in the nave, north side, by what appears to be the north doorway [NB: the chapel has a main (?) west entranceway; there is no opening in the south wall]; curiously the location of the font is given outside the church, by the west entranceway. The baptismal font is listed and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: IM19000406]: "fonts baptismaux [...] granite : taillé [...] ornementation (ornement à forme géométrique) [...] 13e siècle, 14e siècle (?) [...] mauvais état". Crude work; reported badly damaged and partially buried in 1985; one of the geometric motifs on its sides could be a cross.
