Scene Description: Source caption: "« L’église de cette paroisse est une de nos plus belles églises rurales », écrivait dans son Dictionnaire le chanoine Poulbrière. Elle illustre en effet l’évolution de l’architecture religieuse du XIIe au XVIIe siècle.Son élégant chevet roman en hémicycle est épaulé de demi-colonnes, de part et d’autre de la fenêtre axiale que souligne un encadrement en plein cintre. Il a été surhaussé au XVIIe siècle, au-dessus de la corniche ornée de modillons. L’intérieur est souligné de larges arcatures prenant appui sur un socle élevé."

Scene Description: listed and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: IM19000230] as modern: "fonts baptismaux [...] granite [...] Cuve circulaire sur socle octogonal [...] 19e siècle". The basin, at least, however, could be medieval and its general shape is consistent with the date of the church itself, 12th-13th century. Is it medieval?
