Scene Description: Source caption: "Le bourg et son église dépendaient, du point de vue temporel et spirituel, de l’Ordre de Malte. Les visiteurs de cet Ordre qui inspectèrent l’édifice en 1617, malgré l’hostilité du curé, constatèrent qu’elle « était voûtée, possédait trois chapelles et quatre autels. Et en somme était assez bien tenue »."

Baptismal font of the 16th century listed and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: IM19000782]; made of pink granite ["de Perols?"] located in the northwest corner of the nave. Crude work that appears monolithic; it consists of a round-to-poliginal narrow basin the lower part of which extends as a stem and is decorated with a roll moulding around it; square lower base.
