Scene Description: Source caption: "Cette paroisse porte le nom d’un saint abbé périgourdin, puissant thaumaturge, qui vécut au VIe siècle. Sa fondation, qui doit remonter à cette époque, en fait l’une des plus anciennes du département. Elle fut donnée à l’abbaye de Solignac dont elle releva jusqu’à la Révolution. Sa construction semble dater du XIe siècle. Elle se signale par son portail sculpté et fut, par la suite, pourvue d’un clocher à hourds."
