Church Notes: four churches reported here since the 6thC: "Dès le VIe siècle, il existait quatre églises à Soursac, comme en témoigne le testament de sainte Théodechilde, petite-fille de Clovis, qui en fit don à son monastère de Mauriac. Seule est restée la paroisse actuelle." The present church houses a tub-shaped stone font at the west end of the nave, on the south side of the west entranceway; it appears to be disused now, re-cycled as a planter; there is also a holy-water stoup by the side of the south doorway, but it appears modern [NB: we have no information on any of the fonts of the earlier churches here].
