The Bulletin de la Société scientifique, historique et archéologique de la Corrèze (vol. 15, 1893, p. 63) gives a list of the parishes in the 'archiprêtré de Saint-Exupéri' in which Roche-Peyreux is noted as a church dependent of the mother church of St. Martial since at least 1158: "sous le vocable de saint Pardoux, jadis sainte Madeleine et saint Antoine; l'évêque y nommait. Cette église dépendait de Saint Martial, au moins dès 1158". [NB: we have no information on the font of the mid-12th century (?) church here].
