This object, identified in Palissy [ref.: PM19000271] as a former grain measure probably of the 14th or 1th century that was turned to use as holy-water stoup in the 18th century: "Cette pierre de mesure communale pour les céréales était utilisée à Meymac à la fin du Moyen Age, elle est remployée depuis le 19e siècle comme bénitier [...] La pierre monolithe est creusée ; en plus des éléments de support elle comporte un orifice circulaire [...] 14e siècle, 15e siècle (?)".
