The entry for Merlines in Eglises de Corrèze [http://eglises.de.correze.online.fr/] [accessed 21 February 2017] notes that this church was originally "un prieuré dépendant de l’abbaye de Port-Dieu" that had fallen into disrepair by the late-18th century; the old church was carefully restored in the late-19th century, at which time its furnishings were replaced. [NB: we have no informaton on the font from the medieval church here].
