Huard's Dictionnaire... (1884-1885) notes "une église gothique remarquable" and "les ruines d'un prieuré du xi siècle de l'ordre de Cluny" at Argentat. Eglises de Corrèze [http://eglises.de.correze.online.fr/] [accessed 29 January 2017] notes: "C'est entre 1875 et 1879 que l’édifice fut reconstruit sur les plans de l’architecte Bardon, de Tulle, et pourvue d’un mobilier néo-gothique dû à M.Peuch." [NB: we have no information on the font of the original 8thC vicariate church here].
