A baptismal font originally from Vijlen is noted in the Voorloopige lijst der Nederlandse Monumenten (vol. VIII, 1926) as having been moved to a church in the modern mining town of Molenberg, in the municipality of Heerlen. According to the Kerkgebouwen in Limburg website [http://www.kerkgebouwen-in-limburg.nl/kerken/molenberg/verschijning-van-de-onbevlekte-maagd] [accessed 26 January 2017] a new church was built in Molenberg in 1926 [the town itself dates only from 1916], and the old font was moved to its new home there.
