formerly on the ground of the church, the 13thC tombstone is now wall-mounted inside the west portal -- Source caption: "La rudesse du matériau donne aux sculptures un caractère fruste et archaïque au portail ouest et à la dalle funéraire qui représente, en faible relief, un chevalier en armure, les mains sur les hanches et l’épée passée sous le corps. Une inscription révèle qu’il s’agit du Sire de Châteauvert, château de la maison de Rochefort. Enseveli au XIVe siècle, silhouette dépouillée à l’extrême et dont le temps a accentué l’absence de toute individualité."
