The present baptismal font is made of wood and dated 1648, a gift from Hans Simensøn, of Holmestrand; it consists of an octagonal basin with a pronounced upper rim, and a painted inscription in the scotia below; the sides are framed panels depicting Biblical scenes, including one of the Baptism of Christ in the Jordan; the lower end of the basin is trimmed in a pattern; the short base is also octagonal, with eight vertical ribs, on a flat square lower base. The whole basin is painted and gilded, the base in a dark brown even colour. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original church here].
