Church Notes: original church probably of wood; recorded by 1329; destroyed by lightning 1795; present stone church built 1796; enlarged 1863–65 and again 1962–64
Baptisms now are done using a metal baptismal dish held by a 'flying' angel hanging from the ceiling, but the church still has the remains of an old stone font; it consists of a quatrefoil-shaped basin, a cylindrical pedestal base and a square lower base; both basin a nd pedestal base show a central drain. No font cover present.
