Font Notes:
Only the basin remains from the medieval font of this church; it is of octafoil shape on the outside, with a double moulding below the upper rim; some of the recesses of the octafoiled surface have human heads in them; the lower side of the foils are bevelled; the octagonal base is a modern replacement. There is no font cover present but there may have been one earlier, as the upper rim shows damage consistent with cover hardware use. A brass baptismal dish is now in use on the old basin. The old stone basin was for many years at the Natural History Museum , University of Oslo, but was returned to the church in September 2011 and restored to service; a new octagonal pedestal base was provided. A later font in use during the absence of the stone font was a painted wood stand supporting the usual brass baptismal dish.
