Scene Description: the font is visible towards the west end of the chancel, left [north] side -- Source caption: "Røldal stavkyrkje invendes i 1933. (Sjå file:Røldal_stavkyrkje_interioer_Lindahl.jpeg) Over korbogen heng krusefikset som so mange reiste lange vegar for å få røre ved. Jonsoknatta skulle det sveite undergjerande dråpar."

Baptismal font of soapstone, of which only the basin appears medieval; it is round, slightly wider at the bottom, the only decoration being a groove at both top and bottom of the sides; raised on a makeshipt base of two pieces, a cylindrical stem with a large groove in its middle, and a plain rough quadrangular lower base. No cover present but there is a brass (?) baptismal dish in use. The font is located at the east end of the nave, north side, by the chancel.
