Church Notes: Augustinian canons' monastery built 13thC; the church itself is believed to be ca.1250, and, though a parish church, is now only used for special services
Although the present font appears modern the basin may be an earlier one that has been re-carved and/or re-cut; the inscribed foliage motifs appear to be modern but there is remains of a typical early interlace on one of the sides of the basin, on a lower corner. No font cover present.
