Reported as a soapstone font in the Gothic style in the munipality web site [www.andebu.kommune.no/Om-Andebu/Kirken-2/] [accessed 13 November 2016]. Described and illustrated in [http://andebu.info/tema/bygdebok/andebu_hovedkirke.htm] [accessed 13 November 2016]. Chalice-shaped baptismal font consisting a a basin of quatrefoild shape with veryical sides decorated with pairs of trefoiled windows, one (?) of which has a six-petal flower in a circle in the spandrel; the angled sides of the quatrefoil have vertical piping or buttresses in them; on a quatrefoiled pedestal base with a large cnrtre ring mouldings and a splaying base below; short pentagonal (!) plinth. No font cover present but the font has a metal baptismal dish on it.
