Font Notes:
There is an entry for Kelshall [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/TL3236/kelshall/] [accessed 20 October 2016], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. The Victoria County History (Hertford, vol. 3, 1912) notes: "The whole of the church belongs to the 15th century, but was thoroughly repaired, all but the tower, in 1870;" no font is mentioned in the VCH entry. The English Heritage entry for this church [Listing NGR: TL3286536216] (1968) reports a "C19 octagonal font copying C15 predecessor."
