A second object is found inside the cathedral, probably a holy-water stoup of the original Franciscan monastery here; it is now located in a narrow alcove which would not have been its original placing; it consists of two parts; the basin is bucket-shaped and has a regular rope moulding all around the upper rim, a second and larger one around its middle and a third one at the bottom, the last two with the characteristic Franciscan knot on it; the base below is round and slightly splaying, with a number of roll mouldings and a band of foliage on it. The upper rim has a large notch at the back. [cf. Cuernavaca No. 1 for the baptismal font in this church]
